I start my painting process mixing color and laying paint down on my various printing methods: collagraph and gelli plate. I monoprint on rice paper and usually layer many layers of texture and color on one sheet. After it dries, I assemble my papers into my paintings, encasing the papers in hot wax. The wax sucks in the papers and the work hardens before your eyes
